What are your future dollars REALLY worth?

November 29th, 2009

Have you been wondering what your US currency is really worth? What will your dollar be worth in 6 months. What will it be worth in 12-36 months?

With the current financial mindset being that we can print ourselves out of debt, what does that mean for your savings. Over the last 100 years the US Monetary Base was about $780 Billion Dollars. In 2009 alone, the Federal Reserve printed $787 Billion dollars in the name of saving the “Too Big to Fail”. The fact of the matter is, if the Corporate Giants were not getting government handouts and were allowed to fail, they would never get to big to fail.

The key point here is to protect yourself and your assets. Based on the chart above, it would appear that a $1000.00 in currency in 2008 will be very soon worth only about $500.00 in purchasing power. Therefore, we are firm believers that one should convert their dollars into real assets. We believe that Gold and Oil (currently $1,185/oz & $78/barrel) will go higher, the real question is were Real Estate will go as it is a financed product that is subject to interest rate fluctuations.

We wish you well, educate yourself and protect your nest egg against the delclining dollar :-)

Coyotes Kill 5 Dogs in Littleton Colorado

November 17th, 2008

LITTLETON - The Colorado Division of Wildlife says coyotes are thriving in our urban backyards, resulting in an increase of attacks on our pets.

In one week, the Colorado Veterinary specialists in Littleton treated five dogs after coyotes attacked them in their own backyards.

Dr. Beth Lewis introduced 9NEWS to the lone survivor.

“This is George, he’s a little Dachshund that lives in the Littleton area,” she said.

George’s owner, Colleen Stein, rushed her 10-year-old Dachshund to the hospital on Monday after a coyote grabbed him by the neck in the backyard of their Littleton home.

“I was able to run out and scare the coyote and scoop up George and bring him here,” said Stein.

Like the other dogs brought into Colorado Veterinary Specialists, George sustained injuries

Two Littleton schools to close at end of year

November 17th, 2008

Littleton Public Schools, which will close two elementary schools at the end of this year, faces tough economic times for years to come, officials said Friday.

The board of education voted Friday morning to close Ames and Whitman elementary schools and serve the students at other schools.

The decision angered parents, some of whom are considering a lawsuit.

“We’re an aging community,” said Superintendent Scott Murphy.

Enrollment is declining because residents are staying in their homes past their childbearing years, officials said, adding the district has only small pockets of developable land.
